Intra-area flow filters

This filter allows you to change the way the way that the query treats flows within areas which are in both the origin and the destination lists ("internal flows"). Where the origin and destination geographies in a query are the same; the meaning of this is straightforward. However, for complex queries involving aggregation of geographies to different levels, then the meaning becomes less obvious; for any pair of areas with different geographic coding, the internal flow is the flow that takes place within the smaller area.
