Impact of SCAM when comparing flows between spatial scales

Notes:

Another way of looking at the effects of SCAM is to compare flows for one spatial scale with those flows aggregated up from finer spatial scales.

In this example, we consider different net migration rates for London boroughs based on data derived directly from (i) Table TT37and (ii) SMS Table MG104 and data aggregated up from (iii) SMS Table MG204 and (iv) SMS Table MG304. Table TT37 is the thematic table containing total in-migration and out-migration counts.
