Conclusions

• WICID interface well received by users and will be extended (hopefully) over next 5 years to incorporate non-census data sets

• Census interaction data rich and valuable for understanding migration behaviour in 2000-01

• We must consider carefully the spatial system that is being used when using net migration: balances for London boroughs show interesting differences

• We must beware the definitional, measurement and boundary change problems when attempting to compare 1991 and 2001 data
